Pineville, LA (December 21, 2023) – The Pineville Police Department is actively investigating a shooting that occurred at the El Toro Apartments earlier today. At approximately 5:30pm officers responded to reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, they located a single individual suffering from a serious gunshot wound.
The victim, was transported to a local hospital for immediate medical attention. As we gain information on the condition we will release.
Detectives were called to the scene and interviewed witnesses. One Suspect is in Custody.
“We understand the concerns this incident may raise,” said Darrell Basco, Chief of Police. “We want to assure the community that our officers are dedicating all available resources to investigating this matter thoroughly and swiftly. We will provide updates as they become available.”
